Blog #23 So I am setting up the format of the second page of the article, I am making it the same way as the last on but I'm just making one vertical rectangle line down the center of the page to split the information in half. When doing this I have to go back to the first page and view the ruler and see where the first vertical line started. I have to do the same exact on both articles to make it look most professional. After I have completed this I went on to finish the interview with Rafael. Continuing the same font and style as the first article. I decided to include a photo of the whole team I took at the beginning of the season to the bottom of the page. The reason I did this is because I want more visuals for the reader. This also gives me the opportunity to write less about the article and fill in less space. I feel like if I were to write more information on the topic the information would not be very relevant and just be spitting out irrelevant facts. This is the progre...
Blog #22 Where I left off I was entering my second page of the article. I made a few tweaks to the first page as well I forgot to list. At the beginning of the entry of a new paragraph I increased the font to 25 to make them stand out more to the reader. I started the interview with Rafael after the information of the text. I listed out the interview questions in bullet form in a way. I just listed the question right before the paragraph. Then I included the quote from Rafael after the question. This makes it flow more in the magazine.

Blog #21 The haven't started piecing the article information together yet. Which I am starting today. I was think what I was going to talk about but I didn't really have an idea of how to start the article. I went online in sports magazines to see how they start and introduce their topic. I noticed that most magazines introduce the school or topic in the first couple of sentences. I did the same thing since the magazines I was looking at were professionally published magazines. I went on to introduce the school, which is Sarasota High School and I stated what happened with their season and how they might be going onto  the district championship as the teams goal. I think that it is a good start of what I have so far. I incorporated pictures inside the article since the picture was related to the article. The photo I chose was a picture of the team. It shows the reader what the players look like and the uniforms. This is the progress I have on the article so far.

Blog #20 When I left off last was making the dividers for the article page. I am going to place the title of my article in the top left, where the two lines form a square. I am going to use the same house font as my whole magazine, which is the soccer league font. I am also going to offset the article title by tapping tab one time to make the title look more clean and professional. I then entered the title of the article that I chose, which was "Sarasota High's Undefeated Season". I then put the author of the page which was me, Vance Sommers. I included the authors name because all of professional magazines include the author. Since I am trying to make my magazine as professional as possible, this is the best way to do it. This is the progressive of the article below.

Blog #19 I've started to put together the articles of the magazine. The article is going to be based upon the "Sarasota High Undefeated Record". The first thing that I need to do is establish the layout of the article play. I decided to put a Rectangle in the top left of the page to put the phrase "Club Interview" into the rectangle. Then I thought the rectangle should have another item inside of it. I went to the shapes in the photoshop menu and found a soccer ball I inserted in. The photo below is the progress I have so far. The next step that I an wanting to split the article in half like most magazine articles. This way it is most appealing to the eye and looks to fit in with the magazine house style now-a-days. I will do this by selecting the rectangle in photoshop to make a line as a divider. I will make one rectangle horizontal and one vertical. This is the final product: | | | | |

Blog #18 I am finished with my table of contents as I put all of the articles into the table. I made the main article or cover story. I did this to emphasize that the cover story "Sarasota High School Undefeated Season". The photo below is the final product. You can see in the photo I included the page number on the left of the article title. I also include pictures of some of my friends playing soccer that I took. I made sure that my font matched up with all of the rest of the magazine so that it flowed more. The font that I used was the soccer league font that I mentioned in previous blogs. I put the cover story inside of the shape to emphasize the importance of the article and how the magazine was directed towards the cover story. This is the final copy of the table of contents. I think that the table of contents looks semi-professional. I'm happy with the result but I definitely think that the picture I captured could have been better, but as of now I have no m...

blog #17 I finished my cover magazine and like the result of it. I think the cut out of jack could have been better than what I did. My lack of experience in photoshop limits the things I can do. I did the best of my ability to make it look professional. I put an IQ scan code on my magazine to make the magazine look professional and look like if would be in a grocery store or a book store. I am going to put my finished product down below. I started on the table of contents. I chose the same font as my cover page. The font is called Soccer League, I download the fonts off the DaFonts.com. The website has thousands of fonts for free to download. The table of contents should not take me that long to finish as the cover page as it is less editing and photoshopping. I am going to be working on the table of contents at my house since I am coming down to the final weeks and need to get the magazine finished.

blog #16 I started to make the articles that are going to be featured on the main articles. The articles that I that I  choose to feature on my magazine are " Top youth strikers in the country", "School fire takes life of soccer player, school pays respect", and "Sarasota High's undefeated record". Some of the articles are false and made up, an example of this was the School fire takes life of soccer player. The reason that I created this article is because it attracts attention to the magazine and stands out to the public and makes the reader want to buy the magazine. When I created the article title of "Sarasota High's Undefeated Record", I plan to interview one of the players on the team to be able to talk about the history of the team and how the team plays together. I have created all of the articles and put them in my magazine cover page. The image below is how our magazine is now of today.
Blog #15 The interview went very well as I recorded all of the questions and responses. All of the responses that I record were good pieces of evidence. These are some of the questions and responses I recevied. How many years have your been playing soccer? I started playing soccer in 7th grade on the middle school team, I have never played club soccer. How has this year been compared to other years? We would use the interview questions for half of the article and them the other half of the article information of the soccer team and the success.
Blog #14 Today we are doing interview questions, I thought that it would be a good idea to interview someone that has good experience in the soccer community and world. I thought that it would be best to interview Rafael. Rafael is on a team with an undefeated record which is making him a credible source to interview. Interviewing Rafael would be also very convenient since I see him every day and he's in my group. I will be conducting the interview tomorrow during class, the questions that I will be asking Rafael are these: How have the past years been compared to this year? What type of training are you doing? What is your diet consist of? What are your future successes? How long have you been playing the sport? Who are some soccer icons that inspired you? Have you had any injuries? What position do you play? why? There may be more questions that we ask but those are the questions for now, we will be record all the questions on the next blog. We will be conducting these ques...
