Blog Post #4 Day 9 of Discussion Today we decided to make the font of our title red, as research was done to prove the use of red in sports makes athletes feel more dominant and in control. We found this information on a website called "Color Psychology". Here is an image of the progress that we have so far. Something that I have had diffuculty with is photoshop. The photoshop was unable to open on my computer due to lack of space on my disk. It took mulitple attempts to fix this issue so i can proceed with my work. I  ended up have to delete "Steam" from my computer along with two games. After, I was able to begin to work on my project. But the thing is I only have a 7 day free trial on the software. I will probably have to go to my digital design teacher and ask for a student code for photoshop so I will be able to have access to the program.

Blog Post #3 Day 8 of Discussion Today we looked at sports magazines on the internet to see what and how we can make our magazine stand out. Most of the magazines that we looked at are full of color and focused on one or two subjects. Most of the subjects create eye contact with the camera which is making a connection with the reader when being sold. We also talked about the interviewing process that we are going to go through. For each of the editions of the magazines we are making we are going to interview a subject or person that is considered an expert in the field and sport. We will be interviewing the person that is going to be on the cover page. We are considering what we would want our subjects to pose and model as, since it is what the reader sees first.

Blog Post #2 Day 5 Of Discussion Today we are finishing up the photoshop on the title. We are still trying to figure out what we can do to make the title page stand out and make people want to pick up the magazine. The way that we are trying to achieve this look is by quick selection cut out tool. This makes an illusion that the subject is popping out of the page.  We are also trying to find the right font that matches the style of our magazine. As of now the font that we are using is Copperplate Gothic Bold size 85.87, the color of the font is orange. We do not know if this is going to be the permeant font for the magazine. The reason is the font doesn’t pop out or bold enough for my liking.  Also the orange in the font clashes with the orange on the rim making conflict and clashing. You can see below the progress that we have made on our title page.

Blog Post #1 Day 2 Of Discussion Today we discussed what our general genre of our magazine is going to be. We figured out that our genre is going to be sports. We have yet to find a title that fits the needs that we want, but as of now we are using Sports News as the title,as a rough draft. Then we went to discuss the different topics we are going to write about. We figured out that I am going to do soccer, Rafael is doing basketball and Colby is doing bodybuilding and physique. We are going to talking about the nutrition needed to be able to be successful playing sports, which is going to be making our magazine unique. Also we are each  going to be providing a different cover page title to be as unique and original as possible. Throughout the magazine we are going to discussing information that is necessary to the knowledge of the topic and relevant news of the sport.
